Position Overview
The Director of Patient Transport will oversee patient movement services within the healthcare facility, ensuring efficient operations, patient satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This leadership role involves supervising staff, managing budgets, coordinating transport logistics, and implementing workflow improvements to enhance patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
βοΈ Oversee daily patient transport operations and ensure efficient service delivery
βοΈ Supervise and lead a team of transport staff, ensuring high performance and compliance
βοΈ Manage department budgets, track expenditures, and optimize financial efficiency
βοΈ Implement workflow processes to improve service efficiency and patient care
βοΈ Coordinate with hospital departments to ensure seamless patient transport services
βοΈ Maintain records and generate reports for administrative and compliance purposes
βοΈ Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies
βοΈ Utilize transport management software (TeamChimes, TeamTransport) for scheduling and tracking
βοΈ Oversee ancillary services such as valet, courier, shuttle, and patient observation programs (where applicable)
Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelorβs degree or equivalent work experience required

Experience: Prior healthcare management experience in patient transportation or related fields

Leadership Skills: Strong background in staff supervision and operational leadership

Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze financial data and manage department budgets

Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with patient transport management software

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and customer service mindset

Problem-Solving: Ability to implement process improvements and enhance patient experience

Public Speaking: Comfortable with presenting data and leading team meetings
